What we hold, and why.
An email address is a personal thing. This is the complete account of what the registry collects when you buy one, who else ever sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
The clauses
Information we collect
We collect the information you give us directly:
- name, email address and contact details;
- account credentials and preferences;
- payment and billing information, processed by Stripe;
- usage data and service interaction logs;
- device information and IP addresses.
How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- provide, maintain and improve the service;
- process transactions and send the records that go with them;
- send technical notices, updates and support messages;
- answer your questions;
- detect, investigate and prevent fraud.
Data security
We apply industry-standard measures to protect your personal information. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider; we never store your card number.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with two service providers only, and only so that the service can be delivered: Google Workspace, which runs your mailbox, and Stripe, which takes the payment. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You may also request data portability, or ask us to restrict processing. To exercise any of these, write to support@uae.com.
